A Man in Half

“This show reminds us that when [theatre for young audiences] is good, it can be very, very good; and if Lovett’s involved, it’s often remarkable”

Irish Theatre Magazine

A doctor sleeps uneasily in a dingy tenement room, the door barricaded. But not to keep the terror out for the dangerous enemy he is resisting is trapped inside himself. An interactive play for nine year olds and up, A Man in Half is a gripping drama of suspense, terror and humour inspired by The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. This one man show, questions the assumption that in a struggle between good and evil, it is always the evil in us that will triumph.

Fables, Tales & Tattlers

“The opportunities for audience support are ... availed of with enthusiasm. [The performers] are very funny throughout ... generates much hilarity among the minders while the charges revel in the slapstick”

The Irish Times

What if Hansel and Gretel never got out of the forest? And Little Red Riding Hood was really eaten by the Wolf? What then? No worries. We are on the case, ready to pit our wits against any problems the task of story-telling might throw up. But we might just need a hand. So brush up on your fables and tales because when we start telling stories, you never know what to believe. “Interactive theatre at its very best.”

A Picture of Me

“Lovett is especially adept at finding avenues to engage children with his performances, and in this one-man show, he deftly combines humorous monologues and physical comedy with spoken asides to the delighted young audience”

Irish Theatre Magazine

This is the story of P, a very particular man, a man who is at first glimpse a little bit different from most other people but much the same in other ways.  A Picture of Me depicts a day in the life of Mr P allowing the audience a sneak inside view of his private world.

Louis Lovett creates a lovable and lonely portrayal of a man living in a residential home.
